FashionClass operates under a strict commitment to privacy. In compliance with Colombian Statutory Law 1581 of 2012 (Personal Data Protection Law) and its regulatory decrees, we establish this Data Treatment Policy.

By registering on the platform, acquiring a course, or subscribing to our newsletters, you grant your prior, express, and informed authorization for FashionClass to collect, store, use, and process your personal data in accordance with the exclusive purposes detailed in this document.

To operate the platform and comply with security regulations in app stores (Apple App Store and Google Play), we declare the collection of the following data:

• Contact and identity data: Full name, email address, and experience level (requested upon registration).
• Authentication data: Passwords (stored in encrypted format under international standards).
• Usage and activity data: Progress in courses, completed lessons, and viewing time.
• Technical and device data: IP address, browser type, and general device information for security, fraud prevention, and analytical purposes.
• Payment data: Transaction history. (Note: FashionClass does NOT store credit card numbers; these are processed directly by the certified payment gateway Lemon Squeezy).

Your data is processed exclusively for the following legal and operational purposes:
- Create and manage your student account.
- Process your payments, memberships, and enable your access to the content.
- Prevent fraud, identity theft, or illegal account sharing.
- Send critical notifications about your purchases, receipts, or password changes.
- Improve the academic and technical experience by analyzing aggregated platform performance metrics.

Your data will not leave our platform for commercial purposes. FashionClass guarantees that we do NOT sell, trade, or rent students' personal information to third parties (such as marketing agencies or data brokers).

We only share the strictly necessary information with technological infrastructure providers (data processors) that make the service possible, who operate under strict confidentiality agreements and GDPR/CCPA regulations. These providers are:

• Supabase: For secure database storage and user authentication.
• Lemon Squeezy: For encrypted payment processing.
• Vercel & Mux: For hosting the system and transmission (streaming) of videos.

We use strictly necessary technical cookies to keep your session active and protect your account. Additionally, we may use analytical tools (such as Vercel Analytics or Google Analytics) in an anonymized way to understand which sections of the platform fail or are most popular, helping us improve navigation. You can configure your browser to block these cookies, although some functions of the site might stop working.

As the owner of your personal data, the law grants you the inalienable right to:

- Know, update, and rectify your personal information at any time from your user dashboard.
- Request proof of the authorization granted for the processing of your data.
- Be informed about the use that has been given to your information.
- Revoke the authorization or request the deletion of your data when you consider that constitutional principles have not been respected. (Please note that requesting data deletion leads to the loss of access to purchased courses).

To exercise any of these rights, you can send a formal request to our privacy team through your support dashboard or the designated email on our platform.

We implement multiple industry-grade security layers to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. This includes data encryption in transit (SSL/HTTPS), password encryption, and role-based access control in our databases (Row Level Security). Despite our efforts, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% infallible, so the user must also keep their passwords secret.
